Reference Page for Essay

The information below should help you all in creating your reference pages and citing your quoations for your essay.

References

Pinker, S. (1994). The language instinct: How the mind creates language. New York: Morrow.
Premack, D. (2007). Human and animal cognition: Continuity and discontinuity. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 194, 13861-13867. doi:10.1073/pnas.0706147104

The above is an example of what your Reference Page should look like.
-Title the page References (center the title and underline it)
–List all sources that you consulted (at least 3)
-Place them in alphabetical order according to the last of the author.

FORMAT:
Auther last name, first name. (Year of publication). Title. Place of Publication: Publisher.
Citing Directly in your Essay:
When you have a quote that you need to cite the source within your essay, simply place the authors name in brackets followed by the year of publication.

I.E.
“Your best source of advice on all these matters is, of course, your instructor and your library professionals” (Darling, 2005).

    I don't know if you already answered this, but what is the difference between doing the foot notes and citing, i am still not sure how to foot note. Thanks (:
