Language Homework for the long weekend
You will notice that I have posted two new blog response questions under this post. Please begin responding to these questions, as soon as you receive your language notebook back from me with comments. Review my questions and comments, edit you first draft and post a revised addition of your question to the blog. Please have your post up by Friday. Over the course of the weekend, please log onto the blog and read over the posts that your peers have uploaded. Select, ONE post and respond to it. By Thursday 22st, 2012 these two blog responses will be closed to new posts.

Virtual Schools
ReplyDeleteI firmly believe, that virtual schools do not have more to offer then regular schools. Virtual schools do not offer as may subjects as regular schools do. Virtual schools aren't able to provide gym or art because the virtual teachers can not physically see how the child is doing or what they are doing. Also in the literacy book the text even stated "We don't believe in replacing the school. That is not our intention", by Mr. Taylor. By saying this Mr. Taylor is suggesting that virtual schools are a great addition to regular schools and are not there to replace them. In conclusion this is why I believe that regular schools have more to offer than virtual schools.
I think that the virtual school is pretty neat. It's pretty futuristic if you think about it because you usually dont hear about virtual schools , just real schools.I think it is pretty good for kids who are homeschooled because sometimes homeschooled kids would probably want to learn something new so they could just go on the website.
ReplyDeleteAnother good thing about this vitual school is that you can review before a test.If you want to get a good grade on a test, you can go online and study on the website.One last thing you could do is if you have a difficulty in reading or writing that's no problem! Since the virtual school has a talking robot teacher thing, it can help you with reading or writing. That is why the "virtual scool" will be helpful and useful for people everywhere.

DeleteI agree with you, however, you forgot to mention how learning on a computer may be helpfull for kids that don't learn as well as other kids. This website will help them learn be themselves and be responsible for themselves. This is an important point for the website.
